Audiovisual education program Detrás de la cámara was introduced in Germany during the Festival Saarbrücken 2000.

The experience made by the program Detrás de la cámara was fully exposed by Isabel Alba in the Research section of the III Refresher on Comunicació i Educació Mitjans organized by the group in Barcelona in November 2000.

This paper has been published in full in the journal Communication and Pedagogy in the Multimedia section in April 2001.

The experience developed by the program Detrás de la cámara has been also exposed by Isabel Alba in the pages of the Bideo Mostra de San Sebastián in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

This same experience is also a result the article El Futuro de la Educación: Pensar imágenes, pensar palabras (Pedagogical Innovation Classroom magazine, July 2003) and teaching proposal to integrate the audiovisual Elementary Classroom (Classroom magazine Pedagogical Innovation , May 2003).

The experience Detrás de la cámara has served also as a starting point to develop a guide Film and values education within the framework of the Festival of Cinema and Human Rights in San Sebastian which has been distributed by the Department of Youth, Education , Cooperation and Human Rights of the City Council to all schools in San Sebastian.

Received the award for the most innovative films in the Cinema Jove Valencia in June 2004.

Report about Manifesta 5
By young students in Detrás de la cámara.
The documentary made by young students in Detrás de la cámara on the parade staged in Donostia by the English artist Jeremy Deller for the opening of the Biennale Manifesta 5 was presented at the Tate Modern Gallery in London on 19 October 2004. He stayed in the Art Gallery until 31 December. Jeremy Deller has received, by the artistic installation that included this story in Detrás de la cámara, the Turner Prize granted by the Tate Gallery.
This same story has been exhibited at the opening of the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Bordeaux.

Retrospectives and presentations


There have been retrospective and the following short presentations of Detrás de la cámara:

On June 25, 2004 in Cine Principal in Donostia within the program Gau On of the Directorate of Youth, Education, Cooperation and Tolerance of the Municipality of San Sebastian, were showcased nine short films made in the program Detrás de la cámara.

During the Film Festival of San Sebastian in 2004 and within the III International Film School was presented the program Detrás de la cámara and two short films were shown the same day, Días de Tedio and La Tarima.

The Independent Film Festival VIII and Fantastic Toledo, showed 12 productions of Detrás de la cámara on 22 October 2004.

Also twelve productions carried out under Detrás de la cámara were delivered on 10 December 2004, in the Main Hall of Brigadoon and within MARATHON PICTURE DEATH International Film Festival of Catalonia (Sitges 2004).

The Festival of Buenos Aires Short Hacelo has exhibited a retrospective of one hour of short films Detrás de la cámara in its 2005 edition.

Caceres ENVIDEO Festival has screened a retrospective of one hour of short films of Detrás de la cámara in its 2006 edition.

The spot made by the members of Detrás de la cámara about the meetings of the Human Rights Film 2005 San Sebastian was released in the closing session of these meetings in 2006.

In September 2006 were presented at the ICAC (International Contemporary Culture Center) in San Sebastian the short films Interferencias of Telmo Basterretxea; Avanzar tres veces of Alberto Gastesi; Ascenso of Manu Mendizábal, Gillen Mungia and Urtzi Alfaro and Departamento K of Idurre Portabales. The four films were made within the space of the old Snuff Factory of San Sebastian and as a recreation of it.
